About Us

TC 6110 previously owned by TCMG member Barney Jackson for 73 years. Barney purchased it just over one year old in early 1950. Has XPEG 1500 with original engine in storage. Other features include Phil Marino axles and luggage rack. Also Bill Traill brass water pump, brass thermostat and Alfin drums. Has storage bins under rear deck, tripod headlamps, LED tail/brake lamps, turn signals, custom wiring and much more.

Mike writes: I've driven sports cars since 1966 when I learned to drive on my father's MGB and my mother's Mustang (automatic). My father handed the MGB down to me in the late 1970's when he got an Alfa Romeo Spider. I've driven roadsters ever since, with less than a year in other cars, buying Miatas since 1990. I handed down my father's MGB to my son, Steve, who was apparently infected with MG fever, for which there is apparently no known cure. Now he has reinfected me.

TCs Owned:

TC 6110 – XPEG 1182

  • Color (Ext / Int): Light Blue / Tan
  • Build Date: 21 July 1948
  • Original Engine: XPAG 6472

The original owner purchased the car in in November, 1948. It was purchased barely over one year old in 1950 by (to be) TCMG member Barney Jackson in Southern California, who owned it for over 73 years until his death in January, 2022. It was purchased from Jackson's estate in 2022 by TCMG member Mike Simmons of Agoura, California and mechanically refurbished by his son Steve Simmons (also TCMG). Currently has an XPEG engine as installed by Jackson but the original XPAG 6472 is still with the car and was partially rebuilt by him.
