About Us

TC 1733 was imported from the UK in the 70's by George Felbin (PA), sold to to Mark Smith shortly after (PA and VA). Eventually to L. Scott Pedersen (PA) and then to John in 2017. Car was badly represented and had the replacement engine, body rusted, rotted wood and needs an extreme rebuild. Still has the BMC and MOWOG stickers on the gold valve cover.

TC 7474 EXU was purchased in San Francisco, January 1974 from Gerald Andelin. A previous owner to that was R. F. Dowler in the bay area. Has a dual spare tyre carrier, and is in show condition. John has a letter from MG in Abingdon (when it was still open) stating that the TC was finished on January 7, 1949. However the build date is December 23, 1948 so some conflict information. Not sure what "Finished” means. It was titled in California when John bought it as a 1950 but John got the changed to 1949.

TC 9362

  • Build Date: 11 August 1949
  • Original Engine: XPAG10064

History by John Bowyer:
At one time it was listed as a chassis only in Australia.
2022 - I purchased a lot of MG TC parts including the frame, body tub, running boards, and rear fenders from Charles Wiggins in Liberty, TX. No engine, transmission or rear end. No title. The previous owner, a crop duster, was going to build the car for his wife, but gave up. I used the running boards and rear fenders on TC 7499. I used some of the front suspension parts on Georgia’s TC. The body tub and doors appear to be new. The rusty rear fenders are from TC 1733. The one front fender is from the Bill Jones part auctions.
I bought a rear end housing and added axles and rear wheels.
No title. Charles bought it from Freddy Fatherly. Freddy was a crop duster. He intended to restore if for his wife. Charles said that his wife was a large woman and probably would not have fit in the car.
The build date was 11/08/1949 with engine XPAG 10064.
There was yellow paint on the frame, shocks, and brake drums. Even the inside of the brake drums had yellow paint. MG did this for some show cars, but this sems too late in the production to be in a car show.
