70th Annual Conclave Dates Announced
The 70th annual TCMG / ARR Conclave will take place October 3-6, 2026 at the site of our first Conclave in 1957, in the city of San Luis Obispo, California. Special plans are being made to honor the 70 year history of this great event, to be announced when they are finalized.
TCMG Member Mel Appell Passes
It’s with great sadness that we report the passing of 36-year TCMG member Mel Appell. Mel passed on May 8th. He joined TCMG in 1990 with his TC that Mike Goodman restored for him in 1983. He kept that TC and formed many great memories in it with his wife Toni at his side. We lost Toni in 2021.
A few months ago Mel realized that he could no longer drive the car, so he sold it to TCMG member Linda Simmons, who is honored to carry the car forward in its story and each time she drives it she thinks of all the good times she and Steve had touring and visiting with Mel. He was a natural born jokester (ask about the day he pranked Jay Leno), storyteller, pianist and all around good guy. He will be sorely missed.
New Regalia Item
We are pleased to announce our newest regalia item, TCMG-embroidered pullover fleece sweaters! These are a medium weight fleece, ideal for layering under a windproof outer shell or jacket. A vintage-style TCMG logo is embroidered on the left chest area, and a 1/4 zip front makes it easy to pull on and off. The collar can be zipped up to keep the wind out on chilly days.
Sizes: S through XL.
Color: Heather Grey
Price: $34 each (plus shipping where applicable).

New Website Online!
Greetings TC Enthusiasts!
Today we are pleased to announce the launch of our new website! Along with an entirely new and modern feel, the site is packed with features that we hope will both entertain and educate in our ongoing mission to promote and perpetuate the venerable MG TC.
Here are a few of the new and improved items we hope you will enjoy:
TC Provenance List
This has been a two year project to merge multiple lists of TC ownership and historical information into one comprehensive database. Data has come from all over the world, including our own club records going back to the 1950s, the MGCC copy of M.G.’s factory records, and multiple Australian, UK and European records. You can search for history and information on any TC ever made by location, owner name, color or any other keyword you wish.
New Member Pages
Every club member has a new personal page that includes their TCMG bio as before, but also historical information on any TCs they own. Members are allowed 10 photos on their personal page, plus photos of each TC for the history database. The Member List page is also now searchable by name, location, car number, etc.
TCMG Member Directory
Our official club directory is now accessible and downloadable directly from the website. The download is secure and available only to members.
Newsletters
An ever expanding newsletter page now shows over two decades of TCMG newsletters with cover previews. More will be added as time goes on, with the goal of eventually digitizing and uploading the entire 70+ years worth of issues. TCMG members have full access to the entire library of past issues. (non-members may only view the latest editions)
Updated History
Several new articles and photo galleries have been added to the History Pages. We hope you enjoy them!
Activities Calendar
A new calendar has been added that will hopefully make it easier to keep track of all the meetings and events you don’t want to miss!
Classified Ads
A new classified ads section will allow members to place and manage their own ads for free. Buy and sell cars, parts, tools, etc in an easy to navigate format.
Improved Mobile View
Although best viewed on a full sized desktop monitor, the new site also displays nicely on mobile devices, making it easier to find what you need when you’re on the go!
User Accounts
Every current TCMG member will have their own account they can log into. Logging in gives you access to all of our member-only features, including newsletter archives, free classified ads, downloading TCMG member directories and the ability to see additional photos in the Provenance List.
Ready to check it out?
Before we go there, one note from the webmaster… Although we said the new site is launching, that doesn’t mean it’s truly done. We still have several areas that are yet to be upgraded and improved. As a volunteer effort it may take some time but eventually we will get there.
Now, off to the site and please feel free to give your feedback whether good or bad. We can only make it work its best if we hear from you.
