2025 Club Award Winners

2025 Club Award Winners

Our congratulations also go out to the winners of the various TCMG awards for 2025:

Frank Mason Award

“Presented To The Club Member Who Most Exemplifies The Aims Of The Motoring Guild In The Perpetuation Of The TC MG”. This year’s winner by member vote is Joyce Edgar

Earl Sargent Memorial Trophy

The Earl Sargent Memorial Trophy is awarded to the TCMG member who accumulates the most points for driving their TC to various club activities. This year’s winner is the team of Rob Zucca & Carol Sorensen.

Breakdown Award

Also known as “The T.C. Motoring Guild Bizarre Breakdown Award and British Mechanical Anomaly Trophy”, the Breakdown Award is presented to the member who had the most impressive, humorous or disastrous breakdown on a TCMG event. This year’s “winner” is David Mathison, whose TC kept stumbling and dying randomly and was towed so many times (eight?) that his AAA towing benefits were suspended. Multiple shops and mechanics worked on it, some claiming nothing was wrong. The issue was found in the control box, which was driven 75 miles each way for repair. At the next event the car died again – the repair had failed. Not wanting to risk a hotwire job he towed it once again. The poor quality aftermarket control box is now replaced with a rebuild original.

Iron Bottom Award

Awarded to any member who attends every TCMG activity for an entire year, in their MG TC. This year’s sole member to achieve the award is Rob Zucca.
